Our Success in 2023

We had a total of 48 students, with 25 returning for a 2nd or 3rd summer.  92% increased their math score and 51% increased their language arts score. 20 schools throughout Jefferson County were represented.  Student diversity: 58% African American, 35% Hispanic/Latino, 7% Caucasian.  Most of our students came from the 40210, 40211, 40213, 40214, 40215, 40218, 40219, and 40258 zip codes.

We hired 15 college students (7 per subject with a permanent sub to take over for absences)

Highlights:  On day one, we had 4 returning teachers, with one hired as an administrative assistant.  Also hired for the first time a full-time Education Director from Louisville Collegiate.  Teacher diversity:  43% African American, 43% Caucasian, 7% Hispanic/Latino, 7% Arab American.

In 2023, our Board of Directors approved a new strategic direction by joining the national organization Breakthrough Collaborative.  We  will be the 25th affiliate and the only one in Kentucky.  Please follow our social media sites for updates as we transition to Breakthrough Louisville!

WHAT STUDENTS + PARENTS SAID

We had students who showed their social and emotional growth everyday, both in and out of the classroom.   It was our first summer at Collegiate and we could not have been more supported in our academic pursuits!
